Perlicky na Dne plot
Five directors of the Czech New Wave of the 1960s all made a short film based on stories by Bohumil Hrabal. "Smrt pana Baltazara" is about a motorcycle race that focuses more on the crowd than the actual race. "Podvodníci" tells the story of two old men at the end of their lives. "Dum Radosti" is about the strange life of a primitive artist. "Automat Svet" tackles the politics between the sexes. And "Romance" is about the brief love affair between a boy and a gypsy woman.
