Pacific Palisades plot
"A French girl heads for Los Angeles to make it big."
Bernadette, a young woman from Paris, leaves everything behind and leaves for the United States when she is offered an important job there. Once arrived, however, nothing turns out to be true and she is forced to take a job as a waitress in order to survive. Fortunately, she can turn to her good friend Shirley who is pursuing a career as an actress. However, their friendship cap is jeopardized when Bernadette falls in love with Shirley's boyfriend.
