P.S. Your Cat Is Dead plot
When Jimmy discovers that his girlfriend is leaving him for another, much nicer man, his life falls apart. His apartment has been invaded twice in two months, his cat has a bladder infection and his best friend recently died. During New Year's Eve he is alone in his apartment, and then he gets an unexpected guest: the same burglar again. He can overpower him and tie him to a chair, and while waiting for the police, he discovers that he has many things in common with his burglar.
