Otra Historia del Mundo plot
Gregorio Esnal and Milo Striga are friends and freedom fighters who share a love of rebellion and drinking. They live in the village of Mosquitos, Uruguay in the early 1980s. The family of the new defense chief Werner has arrived in the village, as have the patriarch's large collection of garden gnomes. Esnal steals four of these. Milo also attracts Werner's attention when he broadcasts a politically tinged and rebellious message over the radio.
