Seen this one a long time ago and because it came on TV again, I gave it another go.

Despite the simple story, he manages to captivate, partly because of the jokes that are still quite numerous and in general also successful (although there were a few that were left).

The cast did a great job and the movie looked great.

A fun and funny film that is still worth watching after all these years.

windfall.

Casually picked up on television and turned out to be quite a stroke of luck. Ideally suited as in between. Quite a bit of piss and poop humor in this parody, but that is of course perfectly in line with the films that serve as the basis.

Mediocre.

Comes a bit from the same universe as the other parody films. However, I thought all those movies used to be a lot more fun than the shit that comes out these days. After seeing this movie, I was sadly wrong about that. I thought this was all a rather bland and unfunny intention.

It is remarkable how many famous names are walking around in this film. You'll probably never see an Evans in a movie like this again. They all act reasonably and blend in nicely with their characters. Perhaps not too much space is given for this, but they can all drum up some stubborn words and drive on them.

Furthermore, it is mainly a contest of "how many films can I refer in a short running time?". I believe there is a reference to a different movie every 5 minutes. Many of these scenes are exaggerated in the American way, even beyond the original footage. Every now and then that produces something worth mentioning, but many of the scenes are deadly.

You can easily watch the film as there is always something going on that goes far enough over the top to keep you on your toes. The acting and the great diversity of characters is what keeps the film going, but otherwise you can't experience much on both a visual and a comic level. However, you can expect that with a single glance at the title and/or the poster.
