Earl Keese (Belushi) is an average, nearly middle-aged citizen. He lives a fairly easy life with his family in their single-family home...until the house next door is sold to Vic (Aykroyd) and Ramona (Cathy Moriarty), a strange couple who quickly drives Earl insane. With Vic's insane behavior and Ramona's great temptation, Earl no longer knows where to look. Earl's life is suddenly turned upside down.
