Sam Kamin is an eloquent, driven impresario who tries to make it in the hard film world. No effort is too much for him, he even sacrifices his marriage. When he finally gets to represent a young actor who actually gets a movie role, he travels to the set in Romania. To Sam's dismay, however, he is fired by the lad. Completely upset, he ends up with his car in a Romanian river, but he is saved by two mysterious giant hands. Back to his senses, Sam discovers that his savior is the giant Max Zamphirescu. Immediately the dollar signs flash in his eyes and he tries to persuade the giant to take his chance in the film world. But Max only wants to travel to America to see his childhood friend Lilliana again.
