Sixty-year-old writer Josef thinks nothing can surprise him anymore. But one night his phone rings and he finds himself in a series of events that turns his world upside down. His best friend - also a writer - tries to commit suicide, his young girlfriend Katka tells him she is pregnant and his alter ego - a man with hare ears - visits him daily in all kinds of situations.
