"Some towns have all the fun."
A psychiatrist of the same name works in the town of Mumford. Because of his no-nonsense approach, he is seen as a kind of hero by the strange inhabitants of the town. Almost all of the residents are being treated by him. But is the doctor himself completely healthy? When he meets the anguished Sophie, he begins to analyze his own past.
