The poor count and gambler Dino della Fiaba is looking for a rich woman in the casino of Monte Carlo. He falls in love with the Marchioness Maria de Crevecoeur, unaware that she too is poor. When the American manufacturer Hinkley and his beautiful daughter Jane appear on the scene, Dino and Maria decide to join forces.
