In pursuit of the big bucks, dancers Gloria Fay and Mae O'Brien urge wacky promoter August Freitag to host a beauty pageant titled Miss Pacific Fleet. Every ten cents spent on a show by each candidate counts as a vote for that lady. Hundreds of sailors put in their money, and Bernard Wiggins hopes his girlfriend Gloria will win. But then Mae and Gloria take the whole amount and run off to New York...
