Midas Run plot
"He had ten million dollars in gold. Now he has it. Then she got it."
A disgruntled British secret agent and aspiring writer decide to turn to crime after both were passed over for major career advancement. John Pedley, the secret agent, has again not been knighted, something he does not like at all. He devises a plan, along with college professor Mike Warden, who is fired after participating in a peace demonstration. With the help of Sylvia Giroux, they assemble a team consisting of a former SS officer and an old Italian fascist. They plan to steal a fortune in gold from the Tower.
