Melody in the Dark plot

When British entertainer Pat Evans receives a letter stating that she has inherited his uncle's mansion and fortune, she travels to the house with her theater company to spend the night. Despite warnings from the housekeeper and her husband not to stay overnight, Pat decides to turn this house into a nightclub with a restaurant. With astonishing speed, Pat manages to achieve this within a day and that night a show begins with musical numbers, comedy, and the performance of two impressionists. But then the show is interrupted by the lights going out and a strange figure appearing on the dance floor…
