Meet the Missus plot
Sidney is hired to deliver the fortune in bonds, but loses it, leaving the Higgins family in a comical situation. To recoup the lost $5,000, Papa Higgins decides to try and marry Grandpa to the richest old widow in town, sending her a steamy love letter and signing it with his own father's name. Meanwhile, he also goes to the bank and to his surprise gets a loan. Unfortunately for Grandpa Higgins, the widow has received the letter and joyfully accepts his proposal. When he tries to back off, she promptly charges him, leaving the family with a big problem.
