Meet Mr. Lucifer plot
"A Devil-May-Care Joker From Ealing Studios"
When Mr. Pedelty leaves his company, he receives a television set as a parting gift. At first, he enjoys all the attention from his neighbors, but soon the attraction wears off and he sells the device to a young married couple, the Nortons, who live in the flat above him. They soon have the same problems, and again the TV is passed on to several other people, all with the same result.
