Wealthy playboy Charley Pearl meets Vicki Anderson, a singer, at a nightclub. They are attracted to each other and sleep together. But then he discovers she is the girlfriend of mob boss Bugsy Siegel and when he finds the two of them in bed, he forces them to get married. Charley planned to marry his fiancée, but she finds out and leaves him. And then it turns out that Vicki isn't exactly his type of woman either...
