Man of the Moment plot

Office worker Mary, who is madly in love with her boss, discovers that he is having an affair with one of her colleagues. She then tries to commit suicide by jumping into a river. The apparently rich and rambunctious Tony drives up in his sports car and jumps after her to save her. When he takes Mary home to dry her up and prevent her from harming herself, his wealthy fiancée arrives. She assumes the worst and breaks off their engagement. Tony, broke and desperate, proposes to Mary to travel to Monte Carlo and try to make a fortune at the casino. If they lose, they will both kill themselves.
