Johnny Twennies is a cheerful, friendly and honest journalist in modern times. The curious thing about Johnny, however, is that he has completely cut himself off from the technological and social changes of the past 70 years. For example, he still uses the telegram and the manual typewriter and his personal lifestyle is just as old-fashioned. Some criminals have the idea to threaten Johnny in order to send a false news message into the world, but they have never seen someone like Johnny.
