Architect Peter Grafenegger from Vienna is in his fifties. To prove himself, he makes a very modest sidestep with singer Louise Wanda. His charming wife Marthe sees this with sorrow, but she too is no longer a fresh flower. She is willing to forgive her adulterous spouse until it gets too crazy for her.
