Luck plot

1972. Shane is a crippled egotist who gets hurt when his great love goes on a trip to England with her old boyfriend. To clear his mind, he hangs out with his gambling friends, but things take a turn for the worse when Shane gambles heavily and finds himself in debt to a loan shark. However, one of his friends has an ingenious idea to earn a lot of money in one go. They take bets on the now legendary Canada - Russia ice hockey game.
