Love Fail Repeat plot
Emy is a sarcastic hotel employee in Curaçao, whose life takes an unexpected turn. She becomes trapped in a time loop, experiencing the same day repeatedly. The situation changes when charming movie star Nathan Levi arrives on the scene and may provide the key to her escape.

A tired rom-com with an original concept that's then used very sparingly. It's nice that directors like Erwin van den Eshof are finally attempting some originality, but the content remains predictable and utterly tame. Fortunately, Carré Albers does a solid job in the lead role and injects some flair into the film, though she receives little support from her fellow cast members. Twan Kuyper, in particular, is utterly dull as a foil, and any subtlety or emotion is absent from Love Fail Repeat. However, the short running time and fast pace make for a less-than-energetic viewing experience.

Emy [Carré Albers] is a spoiled brat who can't stand that her mother [Nyncke Beekhuyzen] won't let her do the fun chores at the Curaçao resort she owns. She saddles her rival [Lisa Michels] with food poisoning so she can host hunky movie star Nathan Levi [Twan Kuyper], who's promoting his latest film, "Love Fail Repeat," with his co-star, also brand-new ex-girlfriend Sofia Dumonde [Sophie Bouquet]. Probably the worst version of Groundhog Day, with a screenplay as bad as the acting. A knock-off of formulaic production by the Boudellah brothers.
