Little Men plot
Jo March and her husband, Professor Bhaer, run Plumfield School together. This school focuses on boys from poor backgrounds. When rough street urchin Dan comes to school, he wins Jo's sympathy. Jo defends Dan when he is falsely accused of criminal activity. Dan's foster father, Major Burdle, is a con man who teams up with the criminal Willie the Fox. When the Plumfield School is discredited by Dan's activities, Major Burdle and Fox devise a plan to restore the school's reputation.
