Les Trois Masques plot

The Corsican Paolo loves the beautiful Viola whom he secretly meets in spite of his father, because she is poor. Viola becomes pregnant and her two brothers vow to avenge her honor. One evening, during a carnival, they stab Paolo with a dagger. They take him to his father who thinks he is just completely drunk.
