Les Aventures de Philibert, Capitaine Puceau plot
England, 1550. The robust Philibert is the eldest son of an artichoke farmer. He is different from the other boys from the village; he is idealistic, naive and sees a glorious future for himself in the artichoke trade. He also saves his virginity for a beautiful woman who will be chosen for him by God. His father is dying and tells him just before his death that he is not his real father. His real father is a man who was cowardly killed by a man from Burgundy, identified by a rose-shaped red spot on his neck. Together with his deceitful servant Martin, Philibert travels by horse to Burgundy in search of the murderer of his biological father. However, Philibert is put to the test along the way.
