Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme plot

Monsieur Jourdain is a citizen of the 17th century who dreams of reaching the nobility. To achieve this, he takes lessons in general culture in order to try to fill the void of his ignorance. He refuses to grant his daughter's hand to Cleonte. Her family decides to teach him a good lesson. Cleonte disguises himself, claiming to be the son of a prominent figure, and obtains the marriage promise he's been waiting for so long.
