"1995. When people were harder to reach."
Manhattan, 1995. Three women from a family lead a life of a lot of sex, drugs and Japanese food. Navigating between monogamy, honesty and a long-lost New York, the Jacobs family is living in the last days when people don't have cell phones and people still smoke indoors. Teenage Ali discovers her father is having an affair, her older sister Dana reveals her wild side, and their mother Pat struggles with the fact that she can't have everything. But luckily her family still has each other.
