Landfrauen plot

The Cologne nurse Laura lives for her demanding job. However, after a year under constant stress, she desperately needs a break. When her boss Doris cancels her vacation, she leaves. After a car breakdown, which necessitates repairs lasting several days, she finds herself stranded in the Bergisches Land. In idyllic Blumberg, the woman from Cologne not only gets to know festive country women, but also the handsome farmer Paul. At the village festival there is a spontaneous first kiss. Paul's father, whose farm is barely making ends meet, and his childhood friend Katja, who has always had a crush on him, are not happy when the confident Laura thwarts their plans for the future.
