La Fille de Montréal plot

After living at the same address in Montreal for about twenty-five years, Ariane is asked to leave by her landlord. Since her student days, the now almost fifty-year-old has built a life there; her life is piled up in the many overstuffed cupboards and boxes. She has grown into her place and surroundings and the bad news causes great panic. She has to find a new place within six months, but rents in the popular neighborhood have quickly become unaffordable. While she and her friends arrange the impending move - and they help her with the inevitable packing and sorting - her French boyfriend in Paris follows the happenings from a distance. Ariane has decided to film these turbulent months.
