L'Ibis Rouge plot
The film is set for forty-eight hours in a neighborhood near a Paris canal. Raymond Villiers, former tango champion, liquor salesman, gambler and incorrigible drunkard, is threatened with death by Mr Ratin, a mutilated ex-colonel, because he owes him three million francs in gambling debts. Raymond is distraught and seeks help from his wife and his friends. Unfortunately, during the same period, a strange killer also roams the streets looking for potential victims: someone who strangles women with an embroidered scarf. And that causes a lot of panic and a series of misunderstandings.
