Ikinai plot
Mitsuki, a young girl, receives a bus ticket from her uncle. The trip doesn't seem too special, apart from the fact that all the passengers are rather gloomy. However, Mitsuki finds out that the passengers and the tour operator have made a suicide deal to have the bus plunge into a ravine so that their relatives can claim the insurance money.

I like such intriguing plots. Quite one to think about where a bus of passengers plans a collective suicide. The approach is also special with the humorous side that is linked to it. In any case, an interesting film that feels a bit like a road movie. A few characters are highlighted and despite the leisurely pace, the film remains entertaining.
Nice with the dilemma created by the number of passengers who resigned themselves to their fate, but at the same time are faced with a problem when an unsuspecting, lively young woman gets on the bus.
The attempt may be to respond to the social problem of suicide within Japanese society. After the economic (Asian) crisis of 1997, suicides in Japan increased significantly. It was interesting to take that with me when I watched the film.
