I Peggiori Anni della Nostra Vita plot

Ninetto (Paolo Stoppa) is an Italian soldier in World War II. He receives a letter from his wife Emilia (Virginia Belmont), who writes to him that he has become the father of a son. That same day, he and two other soldiers are killed in a bombing raid. Another soldier, Carlo (Carlo Campanini), returns to the platoon to report that Ninetto and another soldier have been killed. After the war, Carlo visits his wife to tell her about the tragic accident.
