Hit Parade of 1947 plot

Four young artists form an act together and get a job in a nightclub. It doesn't take long before one of them has the idea that this act revolves around him. He changes some details in the act to make himself stand out and these changes cause the quartet to be fired. Later, it seems that all four are doing well in other areas of show business, such as stage, radio and film.
