Highland Park plot

"Fate throws Fortune, not everyone catches."

A group of high school teachers have been participating in the lottery for a long time. However, due to budget cuts, they are likely to lose their jobs soon. They decide to take one last chance to win the record jackpot and change their lives forever. Emboldened by the possibility of sudden wealth, they investigate what has led to the decline of their city, from corruption to the loss of hope in themselves and their community.
