High Pressure plot
Gar Evans, the world's best salesman, is hired by Ginsberg, the owner of the Golden Gate Artificial Rubber Company, to make a new discovery from Dr. Rudolph Pfeiffer. With this discovery, wastewater can be turned into artificial rubber. However, after Evans and his aspiring salesman Mike Donahey talk gullibles into buying stock in the dubious company, inventor Dr. Rudolph Pfeiffer. When Pfeiffer finally reappears, he turns out to be forgetful and the promotional campaign is more or less shattered for Evans. In order to also convince his disillusioned girlfriend Francine Dell, Evans manages to make an even better deal with his smooth chatter.
