Herr Puntila und Sein Knecht Matti plot
In a drunken state, the landowner Puntila is a decent man, who disregards any form of class distinction. In sobriety, on the other hand, he wants his daughter to marry uprising. During the wedding, however, the drink flows freely and he changes his mind rigorously: his daughter should not marry his chosen ambassador, but private driver Matti!
