In a panic, Lisbeth travels from Munich to Italy, because her daughter Fanny has disappeared there. She is relieved to find out that Lisbeth is all right, but Lisbeth is shocked to learn that Fanny wants to marry law student Luca, whom she has only known for six weeks. Divorced Lisbeth is extremely skeptical and Luca's wealthy mother Carla is not enthusiastic either. Together, the two women try to change the young people's minds.
