Frau im Besten Mannesalter plot

After a very heated discussion about the spiraling bills that Bernhard (Johannes Heesters) constantly receives for the new clothes of wife Carola (Marianne Koch), she leaves him because she is convinced that she can provide for herself. Both hope the other will come back, but they are too proud to take the first step. Until Carola is offered a job as a driver by author Tex (Bernhard Wicki) and things seem to click between the two. Then Bernhard begins to fear that he might lose her for good.
