Successful actor Vincent Chase and boys Eric, Turtle and Johnny are back and doing good business with agent Ari Gold, who has now started his own film studio. For those of you who haven't seen the series, I don't think you need to start with this one, but as a big fan of the series, for me this was a wonderful review of the characters and everything around them.
No, the story is nothing special, but it is still well presented and I feel like I spent most of the movie with a smile on my face. Also a lot of celebrities who pass by, with some nice cameos in it. And of course Ari is doing a great job again.
I've also found out that I (unconsciously) missed the series a lot. In terms of atmosphere, maybe no other series (that I've seen) comes close to Entourage and it makes me so happy to see our heroes involved in that crazy Hollywood world. So now I have a strong tendency to start a revision after more than 4 years, although I prefer to do that with the blu-rays, which are a bit too expensive for me at the moment.

Never watched the series, but no need for this film either. Little special, a comedy that is hardly to laugh at, but occasionally to smile. There is hardly any story and it just ripples on. Of the main protagonists, only Piven could charm me, he always puts energy into his roles. Grenier is especially beautiful here, but can he also act? The biggest culprit, however, is the lame script, if you want to make a film about Hollywood there has to be some self-mockery in it, that's completely missing here. Well, if you're bored (and personally I'm just not quite there yet) you can count the famous stars who have accepted a role (usually as themselves) of often only a few seconds: Jessica Alba, Mark Wahlberg, Gary Busey, Liam Neeson, Armie Hammer, Mike Tyson, Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Favreau, Pharrell Williams, Martin Landau, Kelsey Grammer, Al Bundy, David Arquette, Sulu from Star Trek. That talented boy from The Sixth Sense also participates in a slightly larger role, but how ugly it has become. :O

Once watched the first two seasons with great pleasure, but at a certain point it became very much of the same. Fortunately, this film shows that the cast has a lot of fun and that they are well attuned to each other. Big pluses are the fast tempo, sharp dialogues and a great Ari Gold, lots of nice cameos, not to mention a lot of female beauty.
Entourage has created a formula that works and from which a sequel can certainly arise.
Very good.
