El Amante Bilingüe plot
Juan Mares is a man from a modest family. One day he meets Norma, a girl from a wealthy Catalan family. They fall in love. When he marries her, he is forced to give up his job under the influence of his social level. After years, their marriage spirals into crisis and they split up. Norma has turned into a woman with dark sexual needs and seeks out several men from the lower social class. Due to an accident Juan is disfigured in his face and he has to wear a mask. He assumes the identity of Juan Faneca and thanks to his eccentric attire he manages to approach Norma again.
