Eine Herzensangelegenheit plot

The grumpy old journalist Franz (Martin Benrath) suffers from leukemia and is admitted to a care home for the terminally ill elderly. Then he begins a romantic exchange of letters with 16-year-old Marie (Johanna Cliente), who lives in Portugal. He poses as a healthy young man and a platonic romance develops between the two writers. Trouble arises when Marie decides to surprise her lover by secretly boarding a plane to Munich.
