Earl Carroll Sketchbook plot

Tyler Brice, creator of jingles, and secretary Pamela Thayer have serious ambitions to become a songwriter and singer. Advertising agent Lynn Stafford tries to make advances on Tyler, while Sherry Lane, Pamela's roommate, offers to help her audition for one of Tyler's tunes for "Earl Carroll Sketchbook," a major New York revue. Stage manager Rick Castle offers Pamela a job because he likes her voice and believes she wrote the song. When she catches Tyler kissing Lynn, Pamela sets in motion a plan where she pretends to have amnesia after an accident.
