Dry Rot plot

Alf Tubbe, Flash Harry and Fred Phipps are three shady bookmakers who want to sabotage a horse race by kidnapping the most favorite horse and her jockey. They move into Colonel Wagstaff and his wife's small hotel near the racetrack and try to hide the horse Lavender and the jockey in a hidden basement. Fred falls in love with the chambermaid Beth at the hotel.
