Mackenzie Carpenter is a stunning 17-year-old girl from Orange County, California. Her biggest problem is boredom, until her classmates are murdered one by one. This is the work of the murderous mascot of the local hamburger chain, Horny the Clown. He stalks Mackenzie with all kinds of cryptic messages. It's only when she discovers the connection between Horny and his victims that she realizes she's in for a tough confrontation with the clown if she still wants to make it to her eighteenth birthday...

Fine pulp about a murderous Clown.
The acting was not always very realistic because too often there is a bit of a hypocritical reaction when a psychotic clown is targeting someone or when someone has been chopped to pieces again. Nevertheless, this is a very entertaining screamer and Horny the Clown also knows how to provide color. Of course there is a typical background story here and you can already dream the ending. And yet it all remains so entertaining.

Nice. The story about a murderous clown is of course far from original, but drive thru still manages to be very entertaining. The acting is weak and the story is completely standard, but the fun lies mainly in the killer Horny the clown. Quite a cool character to look at, who works in a brutal and bloody way with the necessary humour. The humor is quite fun at times, the gore looks sufficient and the necessary kills are nice and brutal.

Mediocre.
Drive Thru is certainly a film that makes for great entertainment. It is also a pulp. Well, the concept remains unoriginal. I can appreciate this kind of subject because even if it is not original, it can sometimes be beautiful.
A killer clown is hard to get a really good movie out of. Drive Thru certainly had difficulty with this and it doesn't really want to get anywhere good. Meester is certainly not doing well, let alone the other cast.
The only plus point is actually Horny the Clown and his massacres, which just barely launch the film at a 2.0*.
