Double Harness plot
"The story of a temporary marriage"
Joan Colby is the eldest daughter of a once wealthy family. She feels compelled to look for a man now that her younger sister is about to get married. She's been hanging out a lot lately with John Fletcher, a wealthy heir. And with the help of her sister, she more or less forces him to 'do the right thing'. After the consummation of their marriage, Joan feels guilty and tries to be the best wife possible, but John discovers how he's been trapped...
