Donatella plot

Unemployed stenography student Donatella finds a handbag full of vital documents and returns it to its rightful owner: a wealthy American lady living in a palatial mansion in Rome. Touched by the young woman's honesty, Madame hires Donatella as her secretary to manage the lady's correspondence and villa during her six-week absence from New York on business. While the charming Donatella enjoys the good life, a chance meeting with the handsome Maurizio, an elegant friend of the lady, leads to an innocent affair right under the nose of her fiancé Guido.
