"THE LAUGH OF YOUR LIFE-TIME!"
During World War II, Lieutenant JG Max Siegel of the Navy is stationed with his division on a small island in the Pacific Ocean where a ship never passes. Besides having to speak to all the journalists, Max has a day job to make sure his commander stays out of trouble and that his subordinates have a good time. Meanwhile, the local school teacher tries to convince him that he is the one for her.
