Die Halbzarte plot

In fact, all members of the Viennese Dassau family are extremely gifted. The father, a postman, writes detective novels in his spare time, mother composes life songs, daughter Brigitte paints, son Thomas juggles and twenty-year-old daughter Nicole writes inimitable beautiful poems. To help the family financially, she writes a high-profile play. In this partly autobiographical story, she uses a pseudonym for the main character. The play becomes a huge success at the Vienna Hoftheater, such a success that even an American producer wants to stage the play on Broadway; luck smiles at Nicole.
