Der Bunker plot
A quiet, safe, preferably boring student room. That's all a young student is looking for. He thinks he found it with a family living in a converted military bunker. Everything seems to be going well with father and mother and young Klaus. Seems.. In retrospect, the fact that the family lives in a bunker should have ringed a bell.

Strange film. I continued to watch with fascination. It never got boring. I had seen it in the library for a long time and I wasn't sure whether I would like it. I'm glad I finally saw it. The film has a bizarre and creepy atmosphere, the actors are good in their roles and the story flows smoothly. In terms of humor and horror it's not too bad, I wouldn't call it a comedy/horror either, although I thought it was quite funny and exciting at times. If you like absurdist films, it is highly recommended. 4*

This was indeed a bizarre movie. Can't really be called a full-blooded horror, but there is enough mystery to give it an oppressive feeling. Fortunately, the film is not that long, but afterwards you are still left with a strange feeling.
I am fascinated by such films that like to color outside the lines. The character Klaus alone, a dwarf who was considered a normal 10 year old. One who dreams of becoming president of America. Or better yet, whose parents expect it. It becomes very funny when the student dryly points out that something more is needed than just knowing some capitals...
Indeed, it is not that easy to determine what makes the film good. Killing him is a lot easier and safer. It's those little absurd things, the creativity of the event even though not much happens. You always have that idea that the climax is yet to come. However, it lags a bit, but I didn't mind that at all.
