Life picks up speed for Deidra and her younger sister Laney. Deidra is almost done with high school. Their part-time father is a full-time con man. Things go downhill when their mother ends up in jail for a minor offence. To help their struggling family, they decide to rob trains. Everything seems to be going according to plan, until a railroad agent (Tim Blake Nelson) starts an investigation.
