Deacon Brodie plot

At the end of the 18th century, the Edinburgh burghers come to a shocking discovery that master craftsman and councilor Deacon Brodie (Billy Connolly) is not as good a man as they thought. He actually turns out to be a handy thief. However, he is less fake than people think and actually has a heart of gold. All he wants is a nest egg. Nothing more and nothing less.
